TimmyC just alerted to me the fact that I fly out next weekend to go to Hong Kong. Eeeep! I better start planning my eating adventures and pump out the posts that I haven’t gotten around to writing from Canberra and the surrounding areas.
Does anyone have any suggestions of where I should go to in Hong Kong to eat?
You MUST go to Tim Ho Wan for dim sum, Under Bridge Crab for, well, the crab, and Yung Kee for roast goose. Mak’s Noodle was also excellent but make sure you check their opening hours which I recall were rather eccentric. I loved the mango desserts at Hui Lau Shan, and anything you can buy off the street on a stick is bound to be good. Also try the egg/ball waffles – they look like giant bubble wrap! I was never disappointed with anything I ate in Hong Kong, I bet you’ll have a great time 🙂
Oooh, thanks of the recommendations! You’re the second person to tell me about this giant bubble wrap waffle, I must hunt this down!
