Every time I drive past the dark back streets of Dickson, a red lit sign always catches my eye and I’ve been wondering what has taken the place of the old Trinity night club. This time as we were headed to Plaka for dinner, I was determined to see the source of the red neon lights. Walter G‘s boasts delicious pizza and desserts with many people coming in and out (I cut them out of the photo); I like how they have a vegan pizza. I wonder how long it has been there.
Tell me dear reader, have you been before? What did you think?
Hi. I am in the home delivery area for Walter Gs and we all received a well-designed bright orange pamphlet in the mailbox. I was sold, so I had a home delivery on Monday (recovering from a cold) and chose a Walter Supreme on a traditional base. $26 large pizza (delivery $4, but now I am registered further deliveries are free and every 12th pizza free). Each element of the pizza was good quality and could be tasted individually because each topping was a decent size and the pizza wasn’t loaded with salt. But coming down to it I’ve had better in Canberra for less $$. This is somewhere between pizza hut and somewhere like Crust, but no where near as good as wood-fired Artigiana or Locale. Having said that, it’s not trying to be traditional Italian either. Good quality but I’m not sure I’ll be a regular, but will try the vegetarian pizza next.
Oooh you’re lucky to be in the delivery area!
My friends went to try this the other night and one of their pizzas came with salsa and corn chips, now I really want to go!
Thanks for letting me know what you think, I’m still trying to figure out which topping I should get first.
