First day of school

It feels like the night before school starts, I know I should get an early nights sleep for tomorrow’s big exciting day but I’m still awake with nerves and excitement. I have to catch the bus tomorrow early in the morning and make new friends but luckily I don’t have to pack a lunch.

Tomorrow begins my adventure with the 101 Local Humans, it is my ‘Day of Food and Wine‘. We start off with some coffee tasting, followed by some local food and wine and the ending the day with some entertainment and cocktails. I have no idea where we are going. I just know I’m up for some fun and delicious food! Stay tuned readers!

Hello, my name is Kristy and I’m a local human

Everyone else announced it a few weeks ago but I had a few date clashes so I had to see if I could still partake and I happily can! I’m officially part of the 101 Local Humans campaign! There were four categories:

1. Family fun
2. Art and culture
3. Adventure
4. Food and wine <I’m in the obvious group

This is an amazing opportunity, I love promoting to friends (or anyone who will listen) what there is to do and eat around the nation’s capital and this is a chance to do that on a larger scale.

Over 1000 people applied and I feel so lucky to be chosen to share my stories and pictures on the activities that we’ll be participating in. First events kick off this weekend, starting with a Welcome function that I won’t be able to participate in as I’ll be in Sydney visiting family, but after that I’ve blocked off most of my calendar to join in all the fun at exclusive after hour events between now and the end of June (and of course the weekend 1st/2nd Nov).
